Honey Do List - Notepad Tutorial
by Jillian Winters
Stamps: Sealed with a Kiss
Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black
Accessories: Chocolate grosgrain ribbon, mono adhesive, notepad, Crop-A-Dile, Nestabilities, Acrylic Block, Scissors
Paper Measurements: Notepad cover (Crate paper) - 6"x 4", Soft Sky scallop (largest scallop rectangle die), Melon Green (reverse side of the Crate paper) 2 ¾" x 3 ½", White image base 2⅝" x 3⅜"
1 - First, unbend one of the notepad coil ends, then spin the coil continuously to unwind from the notepad.
2 - Next, apply adhesive to the front of the notepad cover as shown. Adhere your patterned paper to the front of the notepad cover.
3 - Flip your notepad cover over so you are able to see the holes. Use the Crop-A-Dile to punch out each hole as shown. By using the Crop-A-Dile you are actually able to view exactly where you're punching which allows you to match the notepad holes perfectly.
4- Now it's time to rewind your coil back into your notepad. You should be able to just spin the coil gently for it to twist into place. Your notepad is now covered.
5 - The next step is to create the focal image for your notepad. First, print the words "Honey Do List" on white cardstock using your printer. Then ink up your Luke & Lexi stamp in Brilliance graphite black and stamp them just above the words, as shown.
6 - For coloring Luke & Lexi, I used Copics Sketch markers. The colors used are
BG10 Cool Shadow*
G21 Lime Green*
E00 Skin White*
Y21 Buttercup Yellow*
C0 Cool Gray
E57 Light Walnut
E31 Brick Beige *
*this is a featured color in the Paper Pretties Copic Club
7 - Wrap a piece of chocolate grosgrain ribbon around the notepad cover and tie in a knot.
8 - Lastly, adhere your layers together and mount onto the front of your notepad and you're done. Just add a few chores for your Honey and your list is complete! ;)
